Your occasion means the world, and you don’t want just anyone in attendance. You should feel connected to your celebrant – like you can trust them, like you are both on the same page.
So, here’s a bit more about me, Denis, an authorised marriage celebrant in Canberra.
Family and Community
Family and community are the heart and soul of what I do. I’m a dedicated family man. Together with my wife Trudy, we have raised three wonderful children in a supportive and loving home.
In the community, I’ve maintained a positive profile and strong connection, particularly in the arts sector. Since way back in the 80s, I’ve performed in and around Canberra as a vocalist and musician. You might know me from the band Hitparade.
Over the years, I’ve accumulated hundreds of treasured friends from all walks of life.
Driven by Values
I am the kind of person anyone can come to. Vibrant, open-minded, and always acting with integrity, I am driven by my strong values and natural compassion, both in my personal and professional life.
I am inclusive and accepting and do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. Whatever your gender, age, race, religious beliefs, ability, or sexuality, I am here to help you have the meaningful, memorable, fun, celebratory experience you deserve.
Communication and Understanding
Communication is vital, and I believe that I am an excellent listener with a unique ability to empathise with and understand others. A naturally curious people-person, I love learning about others’ lives, perspectives, and journeys.
My deep understanding, emotional intelligence, and compassionate nature lend to my generosity. If I can, I will help. No matter what.
I am welcoming, warm, and sensitive, with what some have called a wicked sense of humour. I believe life is for living and enjoying, and I make the most of the time I have with friends, family, and clients.
As a marriage celebrant, I acknowledge the weight of my responsibilities and take them very seriously. I am always professional and have your best interests front-of-mind.
I have a huge heart. Sharing life’s great joys and sorrows with those around me is what I live for.
